We are now approaching the end of our sixth full production year and the system does not show any signs of degradation with 2025 shaping up to be as good as 2023 which had the highest production to date…. The panels work great, and we can already see an enormous savings in our electrical bill. BC Hydro updates our account online daily showing consumption and what we put into and take out of the grid. We can also track on an app on our phone showing just how much power we are generating.
The install took only two and a half days. There was minimal disruption. All the onsite staff were friendly and respectful of our property.
The solar panels starting in early March are producing more electricity than our household needs. We drive a plugin electric hybrid car that we charge, and it includes this charge.

“Working with the Roost team went extremely smoothly, from helpful advice from the office staff on sizing the system appropriately to the actual installation by the installation team.
Since installation, I have enjoyed monitoring the Roost app to see how much power we are generating with our 18 panels. It has been helpful to both to see how much solar power we are generating but also to monitor our usage from BC Hydro.
Since hooking the solar collectors up to the grid last June we have yet to have a BC Hydro bill which has been the “icing on the cake “ as the saying goes.”
